About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Maintenance Engineer Trainee to join our team at SLB. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in improving efficiency and increasing asset utilization within our GeoMarket or location.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Continuous Improvement Initiatives

Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives to improve asset utilization, reliability, and cost of service delivery (CoSD) within the assigned location or GeoMarket.

Drive Asset Turnaround Time Improvements

Drive continuous improvement efforts to improve asset turnaround time through reduction of assets waiting for maintenance, down for parts or repair authorization number, down for failure, and work-in-process.

Identify and Develop Business Cases for Projects

Identify new opportunities and develop business cases for projects pertaining to rework and reuse of parts, service level kits, and equipment design improvements.

Monitor and Analyze Data

Monitor the quality and completeness of data capture by the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to drive CoSD and reliability analysis.

Participate in Failure Investigations and Audits

Participate in failure investigations as assigned by the Reliability and CoSD or Maintenance Manager, and participate in periodic technical audits and CAT compliance assessments.

Requirements
  • Education and Qualifications

BS or MSc in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering, or a closely related degree of a 2:2 standard or above.

Desirable Skills and Experience

Experience or knowledge in maintenance processes and workflows (Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma), strong interpersonal skills to communicate clearly and confidently, ability to choose and initiate action, passion for learning and research, and eagerness to deliver results and meet demands.
