Associate Professor of Counselor Education and Graduate Program Director

Widener University is seeking a highly qualified Associate Professor of Counselor Education and Graduate Program Director to join our team. As a key member of our faculty, you will be responsible for teaching courses on campus and online, serving as the graduate program director, contributing to scholarship through presentations and/or publications, and pursuing service and leadership opportunities within the Program, Center, College, University, and profession.
Responsibilities:- Teach courses on campus and online, including course development and implementation.
- Serve as graduate program director, including collaboration with Graduate Admissions and Enrollment regarding recruitment and admission of students in the Master of Counselor Education Program.
- Contribute to scholarship through presentations and/or publications.
- Pursue service and leadership opportunities within the Program, Center, College, University, and profession.
- Master degree in Counselor Education or related field from an accredited college or university required.
- Doctoral degree in Counselor Education or related field from an accredited college or university preferred.
- Hold a LPC, licensed professional counselor.
- Experience, qualifications, and record of teaching excellence and scholarship for faculty appointment at the Associate Professor NTT rank.
- Experience in higher education in recruitment and retention of students.
- May be required to be available to students via phone, email, or other means of communication over nights and weekends.
