We are in search of a proactive leader to spearhead the expansion and success of our clients' national kitchen accounts, encompassing major retailers. This crucial role requires strategic foresight, strong leadership capabilities, and the ability to navigate a competitive environment effectively.
As the Senior National Account Executive, you will oversee the partnership between our client's brand and key retailers at the executive level. Your responsibilities will include both strategic sales planning and tactical execution to optimize growth and profitability. Reporting to the Channel Manager, you will lead a team of National Account Managers and support staff. Your comprehensive understanding of each account and retailer objectives will empower you to cultivate robust, influential relationships and fulfill business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Formulate and execute the Kitchen Retail Channel strategy to boost sales opportunities and profitability.
- Establish and nurture industry connections to uncover sales prospects.
- Collaborate with National Account Managers to develop annual Joint Business Plans and negotiate commercial contracts.
- Conduct regular interactions with key stakeholders to strengthen relationships, manage expectations, and ensure account strategies are progressing.
- Evaluate sales trends and forecasts to align production with retailer requirements.
- Work closely with the Product Line to finalize product ranges and pricing, maximizing sales and profitability.
- Oversee marketing budgets to ensure optimal return on investment and compliance with investment protocols.
- Introduce and promote new products to stimulate sales growth.
- Influence retailer strategies for product placement to enhance brand visibility.
- Provide leadership to foster team performance and professional development.
- Take on additional responsibilities or projects as necessary to achieve organizational goals.
- Demonstrated experience as a National Account Executive or in a comparable account management capacity.
- Experience in a commercial, consumer goods environment.
- Prior experience in managing teams.
- Exceptional ability to engage, inspire, and lead a sales team.
- Strong negotiation skills with stakeholders at all levels, including senior counterparts.
- Robust business acumen with advanced analytical and numerical capabilities.
- Excellent relationship management skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Outstanding communication, planning, and organizational abilities.
- Capacity to collaborate effectively and maintain composure under pressure.
This is a field-based role with travel across the UK (approximately 25-30%).
