Orthopaedic Specialist with Hand Surgery Focus

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Locum Consultant Orthopaedics to join our team at Northampton General Hospital. The successful candidate will have a strong interest in Hand Surgery and be able to contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in the Trauma On-call service on a 1:12 basis
- Conduct operation lists, both Elective and Trauma
- Perform regular ward rounds
- Lead outpatient clinics, both Elective and Trauma
- Develop and maintain a Specialist interest in Hand and Wrist Surgery
- Present monthly mortality & morbidity statistics and participate in departmental teaching meetings
- Supervise and train middle-grade staff
- Contribute to management duties within the department and the Trust
- Full Registration with the GMC
- Possession of FRCS (Tr+Orth)
- On specialist register for Trauma and Orthopaedics
- Evidence of fellowship in Hand/Wrist Surgery
- Wide range of experience in Hand/Wrist Surgery
- Broad range of experience in general trauma provision
