Locum Consultant Orthopaedics with Special Interest in Hand and Wrist Surgery

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon to join our team at Northampton General Hospital. The successful candidate will have a special interest in Hand and Wrist Surgery and will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our Orthopaedic service.
Main ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Participating in the Trauma On-call service
- Operating lists, both Elective and Trauma
- Regular ward rounds
- Outpatient clinics, both Elective and Trauma
- Presenting monthly mortality & morbidity statistics and participating in departmental teaching meetings
- Supervising and training middle-grade doctors
- Participating in management duties within the department and the Trust

Person SpecificationThe successful candidate will have:
- Full Registration with the GMC
- Possession of FRCS (Tr+Orth)
- On specialist register for Trauma and Orthopaedics
- Evidence of fellowship in Hand/Wrist Surgery
- Wide range of experience in Hand/Wrist Surgery
- Broad range of experience in general trauma provision
