Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Executive to join our team at World Fuel Services. As a Sales Executive, you will be responsible for promoting our company products and services to potential customers, building strong relationships with clients, and driving sales and new business initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Organise and manage your time to produce a productive and effective output of data and appointments via cold calling and other sales strategies.
  • Make outbound phone calls to potential customers to promote our company products and services in line with customer requirements.
  • Sell services over the phone and arrange face-to-face meetings with potential customers to ensure achievement of sales targets.
  • Recognise and seek opportunities to up/cross-sell additional products and services that we offer.
  • Pro-actively build, manage, and maintain relationships with clients via face-to-face meetings and regular communication.
  • Operate and effectively manage our CRM database with all customer contact and information, ensuring accurate records are maintained.
  • Stay up-to-date with developments within the water and utility services markets, provide accurate market information to clients, and share new industry knowledge with colleagues.
  • Research and prepare information for prospect meetings to identify their requirements and assist with closing the sale.
  • Review your own sales performance, ensuring you and the company's targets are met or exceeded.
  • Attend external seminars and conferences as required.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development, regular performance reviews, and monthly one-to-ones.
  • Carry out any other reasonable duties as required by the company.
  • Adhere to Company and department standards, policies, and procedures to attain and maintain the required competency level to perform the role and promote a culture where customers are treated fairly, with openness and honesty.
  • Apply company values in all day-to-day activities.
  • Understand the health, safety, environmental, and associated legal requirements relevant to our work and comply with these, actively promoting issues regarding health, safety, and the environment.
  • Maintain strong relationships with colleagues inside and outside of the business, including new and existing customers, close working relationships with other members of your department, and colleagues on all levels of seniority within the business.

Person Specification (Background and Skills)

Essential:

  • Previous experience of business-to-business selling, including business development.
  • Willingness to travel across the UK.
  • Ability to build strong, long-lasting professional relationships.
  • Experience of driving sales and new business initiatives.

Desirable:

  • Good understanding of the UK energy and water management markets.
