We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Childcare Support Worker to join our team at Polaris Community. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to young people in our residential settings.
Key Responsibilities- Promoting Safeguarding and Welfare: Ensure the safety and well-being of our young people, promoting a culture of safeguarding and protection.
- Establishing Positive Relationships: Build and maintain strong, trusting relationships with our young people, understanding their individual needs and interests.
- Encouraging Personal Development: Support the development of our young people's interests and skills, encouraging them to reach their full potential.
- Participating in Activities: Engage in activities and outings with our young people, providing a fun and supportive environment.
- Experience and Qualifications: Previous experience working with vulnerable young people is desirable, but not essential. We provide full training for a Childcare Diploma Level 3.
- Commitment and Flexibility: Demonstrate a commitment to the role, including some weekends and bank holidays. Be willing to undertake sleep-in duties as part of a flexible rota.
- Interpersonal Skills: Possess good interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Initiative and Motivation: Be capable of working independently, with a strong desire to engage and motivate our young people.
- Full Training and Development: Receive comprehensive training and support to achieve a recognized qualification.
