About the Role
The Maximising Independence Service (MIS) is dedicated to early intervention, prevention, and enhancing autonomy and wellbeing. Our mission is to assist individuals in achieving the highest level of independence possible through comprehensive information, guidance, and support tailored to their needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitating enablement and reablement.
- Providing benefits guidance.
- Connecting individuals to community resources.
- Assisting with equipment and minor home modifications.
- Offering support and advice for caregivers.
- Collaborating with i-work for additional support.
- Assessing eligibility for blue badge services.
The Maximising Independence Service also partners with various providers to further enhance the independence and wellbeing of our clients.

We are in search of dynamic and innovative professionals eager to make a significant impact on the lives of others. You will engage with individuals aged 17 and above across various service areas, working on meaningful goals over a period of up to 12 weeks. Tasks may include teaching public transport usage, finding social activities, or cooking skills. This role offers a diverse and rewarding experience.
Working Environment
As part of a progressive multidisciplinary team, and with guidance from our Enablement Managers, you will foster a collaborative atmosphere focused on achieving the best outcomes for each individual. You will work with clients of all ages and health backgrounds, employing a strengths-based approach to help them realize their personal goals.
Position Details
We have one full-time and one part-time vacancy available. Flexibility in working hours is essential. A valid driving license and access to a vehicle are required for this role, as the position involves significant community engagement and home visits.
