Specialist Therapist Children Young People and Families

We are seeking a highly skilled Specialist Therapist to join our Children, Young People and Families Team at Alliance Psychological Services Limited. As a Specialist Therapist, you will work with children, young people, and their families who have experienced complex trauma, providing consultation, clinical assessment, and psychotherapeutic counselling.
Key Responsibilities- Undertake highly skilled assessments of clinical need, including risk assessments, considering children's developmental, attachment, trauma, and cultural needs.
- Work to a clear clinical plan, providing outcomes-focused trauma and attachment therapy with children and families who have experienced trauma.
- Explore and evaluate clinical treatment using evaluation tools, contributing to evidence-based practice.
- Take part in triage work for the service, helping to ensure appropriate referrals into, and out of, the service.
- Create and maintain effective working relationships with Headteachers, Deputy Heads, SENCOs, Pastoral Team, and wider teaching staff.
- Work with the Counselling Lead and Service Manager to promote and develop service links with affected families and partner agencies.
- Ensure that the needs and views of children and young people are at the heart of everything we do.
- A minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience as a child and adolescent counsellor/psychotherapist working with children, young people, and families affected by trauma/bereavement.
- Demonstrable experience of providing outcomes-focused therapy to children, young people, and their families.
- Experience of sharing knowledge and skills with colleagues and other professionals.
- Experience of participation in multi-agency planning and safeguarding work, including Early Help, Child in Need, and Child Protection meetings and processes.
