About the Position
As a Quality Assurance Specialist in our Quality Assurance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our products meets the highest standards. You will work closely with our production team to ensure that all products are properly documented and meet quality approval. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Method Development: Develop and implement new methods for process and product quality control.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and repair of laboratory equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Process Control Monitoring: Monitor and control process parameters to ensure consistent product quality.
- Effluent and Borehole Analysis: Conduct analysis of effluents and borehole samples to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Support to Production Team: Provide technical support to the production team to troubleshoot quality-related issues.
- Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance: Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental procedures, including reporting of accidents, near misses, and incidents.
- Risk and COSHH Assessments: Conduct risk and COSHH assessments to identify potential hazards and minimize risks.
- Raw Materials Analysis: Conduct analysis of raw materials to ensure quality and compliance with specifications.
- Non-Conforming Product Documentation: Document and report non-conforming products or blend failures.
- Turnovers and Extensions: Document and report turnovers and extensions of products.
About You
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Quality Assurance Specialist with a background in the chemical industry or related process industries. You will have a relevant apprenticeship or degree and be confident handling chemicals and equipment. You will also have knowledge of GC, GCMS, and HPLC operation, including equipment maintenance and wet chemistry techniques. Good communication skills are essential, as you will be working closely with personnel across various departments and levels of seniority.
