We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at LANXESS UK. As a key member of our Quality Assurance department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our products meets the highest standards.
Your primary responsibility will be to develop and implement quality control methods for new processes and products, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards. You will also be responsible for maintaining laboratory equipment, performing process control monitoring, and analyzing effluents, borehole, and cooling tower samples.
In addition, you will provide support to the production team with troubleshooting, ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental procedures, and conduct risk and COSHH assessments. You will also be responsible for documenting and reporting non-conforming product/blend failures and turnovers/extensions.
About YouWe are looking for a highly motivated and organized individual with a background in the chemical industry or related process industries. You should have a relevant apprenticeship or degree and experience with GC, GCMS, and HPLC operation, including equipment maintenance and wet chemistry techniques.
You will also need to have excellent communication skills, with the ability to work closely with personnel across various departments and levels of seniority. If you are a team player with a passion for quality and a commitment to excellence, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
