Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Head Groundsperson to join our established grounds team at Brighton College. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality grounds maintenance services, ensuring the college's outdoor spaces are well-maintained and visually appealing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage a team of grounds staff to ensure efficient and effective delivery of grounds maintenance services.
- Develop and implement grounds maintenance plans to ensure the college's outdoor spaces meet the required standards.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure the college's grounds are well-maintained and meet the needs of students, staff, and visitors.
- Monitor and control budgets for grounds maintenance, ensuring value for money and efficient use of resources.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and best practices in grounds maintenance.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Proven experience in grounds maintenance management, preferably in an educational setting.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and supervise a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to work.
