Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Adult Psychiatry Specialty Doctor to join our Waltham Forest Home Treatment Team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide senior medical support and direct input on clinical cases, working closely with Consultant Psychiatrists, Associate Specialists, and Core Trainees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide senior medical support to the team and direct input on clinical cases
  • Work directly with adults and their families, liaising with community adult consultant psychiatrists and specialty doctors in mental health
  • Support the Home Treatment Teams in managing bed occupancy
  • Develop links with local acute trusts' A&E departments and adult services
Person Specification
  • Full GMC Registration with a license to practice
  • Section 12 certification, or a commitment to work towards this
  • Mastery in the management of a broad range of mental disorders in adults
  • At least 4 years of full-time postgraduate training (or its equivalent gained on a part-time basis) of which at least 2 years will be in a specialty training programme in a relevant specialty or as a fixed term specialty trainee or shall have equivalent experience and competencies
