Waltham Forest Home Treatment Team Adult Psychiatry Specialty Doctor
This is an exciting opportunity to join our multidisciplinary team as an Adult Psychiatry Specialty Doctor in the Waltham Forest Home Treatment Team. As a key member of the team, you will provide senior medical support, direct input on clinical cases, and guidance and supervision to the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team providing care to adult patients with mental health needs across Waltham Forest.
- Provide senior medical support to the team and direct input on clinical cases.
- Provide guidance and supervision to the team.
- Work directly with adults and their families and liaise as appropriate with community adult consultant psychiatrists and specialty doctors in mental health.
- Support the Home Treatment Teams in managing bed occupancy.
Person Specification
- Full GMC Registration with a license to practice.
- Section 12 certification, or a commitment to work towards this.
- Mastery in the management of a broad range of mental disorders in adults.
- At least 4 years of full-time postgraduate training (or its equivalent gained on a part-time basis) of which at least 2 years will be in a specialty training programme in a relevant specialty or as a fixed term specialty trainee or shall have equivalent experience and competencies.
