Job Title: Freight Forwarding Operations Coordinator

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Freight Forwarding Operations Coordinator to join our team at Freight Personnel. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing freight movements, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sort, filter, and distribute documentation and create and maintain job files in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Deal with all aspects of international and domestic freight movements, including import and export by sea, air, and land.
  • Monitor flights and vessel arrival times and inform customers of delays.
  • Act as a conduit between customers and suppliers to ensure all needs are met within the specified delivery time.
  • Liaise with overseas offices for shipment movements, taking responsibility for monitoring progress and keeping customers advised of the status.
  • Update customer reports ensuring accuracy before sending to customers.
  • Book deliveries and arrange collections.
  • Complete customs declarations in line with UK HMRC requirements, including collecting duty and VAT payments and monitoring the use of our deferment scheme.
