As a Senior Technical Analyst, you will play a crucial role in coordinating our capital delivery initiatives, ensuring adherence to regulatory obligations, monitoring performance, and establishing the necessary regulatory evidence to support funding applications.

Key Responsibilities

The successful applicant will be responsible for:

  • Leading the monitoring of uncertainty mechanisms and volume drivers
  • Overseeing the development of regulatory reopener submissions
  • Facilitating business-wide collaboration across capital programs
  • Supporting Operations in creating delivery improvement plans and tracking their progress
  • Assisting in the preparation of routine regulatory submissions
  • Contributing to capital routine assurance initiatives

Essential Competencies

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills to foster strong relationships across the organization
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities, capable of conveying information clearly to stakeholders
  • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks
  • Strong problem-solving skills, particularly in complex economic regulation contexts
  • Confident decision-making capabilities
  • High proficiency in numerical analysis and data manipulation

Qualifications and Experience

Essential:

  • Degree in a STEM field or a level 4 qualification (e.g., HNC) with a minimum of three years of relevant experience
  • Proficient in Excel, Access, or similar tools for data sourcing and reporting
  • Experience in managing projects or programs
  • Background in handling complex economic or analytical projects

Desirable:

  • Degree in mathematics, finance, business, or economics
  • Project management certifications
  • Experience in a regulated utility environment
  • Familiarity with producing regulatory submissions
  • Understanding of UK energy regulations
  • Experience with SQL and data manipulation tools such as Excel, Oracle Analytics, or Power BI
