Job Title: Unqualified Mental Health and Wellbeing Assistant

About the Role:

We are seeking an Unqualified Mental Health and Wellbeing Assistant to join our team at EdEx - Education Recruitment. As an Unqualified Mental Health and Wellbeing Assistant, you will work alongside teaching professionals and support staff to assist children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work in 1:1 and small group settings to support children with SEN and SEMH needs
  • Assist in the classroom to promote a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Set and work towards targets aimed at individual pupil development
  • Collaborate with teaching professionals and support staff to provide comprehensive support to children

Requirements:

  • Graduate with strong academics, including a degree from a reputable university
  • Previous experience working with children with SEN and SEMH needs is desirable
