About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Pharmacy Technician to join our established shift working team at University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the dispensary workload in hours and out of hours, providing a service for hospital inpatients and discharge prescriptions.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing workload effectively.
  • Collaborate with the pharmacy team to ensure seamless delivery of patient care.
  • Develop and maintain aseptic manufacturing skills, adhering to strict quality control measures.
  • Contribute to the development of the pharmacy team, sharing knowledge and expertise.
Requirements
  • NVQ level 3 in Pharmacy Technician, with evidence of Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
  • Demonstrable post-qualification experience in a pharmacy setting.
  • Current knowledge of aseptic manufacture and laminar flow cabinet operation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritizing tasks and managing workload effectively.
