About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Pharmacy Technician to join our team as a Lead Pharmacy Technician - Strategy. This is an exciting opportunity to provide leadership to an experienced Pharmacy Team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality, safe, and effective care across Joined Up Care Derbyshire.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the work of the Pharmacy Directorate and Medical Directorate in delivering high-quality, safe, and effective care across care pathways within Joined Up Care Derbyshire.
  • Support the Head of Pharmacy, Associate and Assistant Directors of Pharmacy and their team to ensure that their workstream of programmes are planned and managed effectively.
  • Lead and drive Pharmacy Directorate Team priorities, matrix working across the Team.
  • Manage the Pharmacy Directorate Team's business function to improve the quality, safety, and cost-effectiveness of relevant clinical interventions.
  • Line manage and be responsible for the workload and performance of other staff as required.
  • Lead the successful delivery of projects to achieve key ICB and/or ICS targets.

Requirements
  • BTEC in Pharmaceutical Sciences or equivalent.
  • BTEC Professional diploma (or willingness to work towards) or equivalent level of experience.
  • Professional registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
  • Educated to degree level in a relevant subject or equivalent level qualification or significant experience of working at a similar level in a specialist area.
  • Post-graduate degree in Management Studies or equivalent experience.
  • Significant experience of successfully operating in a politically sensitive environment.
  • Evidence of continued professional development.
  • Demonstrated experience of co-ordinating projects in complex and challenging environments.
