Associate Marketing Manager, Community Running

New Balance is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Marketing Manager to join its UK & Ireland team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a cohesive approach to year-round programmes of grassroots performance activation, focusing on running through product launches, retailer activations, guerilla & owned event opportunities, and stand-out cultural & brand moments through a network of communities.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the UK marketing team in authentically engaging with communities, specialty retailers, and strategic key partners through product testing, focused product launches, and promotional activations.
- Activate a community running strategy to support the sell-thru of product in line with the EMEA objectives, with a focus on growing brand association within running.
- Research and develop the community running strategy in alignment to consumer insight data to identify regional epicenters and opportunities.
- Build and develop a considered community portfolio, maintaining established relationships and crafting new relationships, through seeding, retailer partnerships, activations, local initiatives, and key regional events.
- Support the planning and execution of owned and guerilla marketing activations in-line with key cultural moments and strategic events, working cross-functionally to develop commercial and partnership opportunities while ensuring consistent storytelling.
- Monitor and report on industry trends and activity at the intersection of sport and culture, with a consideration of their influence on the community strategy.
- Ability to follow strategic plan and have long-term vision.
- Experience of managing multi-faceted activations.
- Cross-business coordination of large-scale projects.
- Experience taking a project from concept through to delivery.
- Experience of managing relationships and 3rd-party agencies.
- Experience in asset and content management.
- Experience in budget management and reporting.
- Customer 'first' understanding.
- Experience in negotiation.
- Lifting & moving of equipment.
- Standing for long hours on event build and operation.
