About the Role

As a Deputy Care Manager, you will play a key role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals with multiple sensory impairments and/or learning disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide line management support to a team of staff, ensuring that they are equipped to deliver person-centered care and support.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of care plans, ensuring that they are tailored to the individual needs of each person.
  • Work closely with the manager to ensure that the service is delivered in accordance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies.
  • Support the manager in the recruitment, training, and development of staff, ensuring that they have the skills and knowledge required to deliver high-quality care.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures, ensuring that they are aligned with organizational goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Experience of working in a care management role, preferably in a supported living setting.
  • Knowledge of person-centered planning and health and safety.
  • Experience of supervising and developing staff teams.
  • IT literate and able to use a range of software applications.
  • Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
  • Full UK manual driving license and access to a vehicle.
