Job Summary
NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our Estates Department at Vale of Leven Hospital. As a key member of our multi-disciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing a safe, effective, and efficient estates service to support clinical and administration activities within healthcare and acute hospital facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide planned and breakdown maintenance and repair services in relation to all aspects of engineering and building services, plant, and equipment.
- Work on all sites and properties within the department's remit as routinely required.
- Participate in an out-of-hours on-call rota to meet the needs and requirements of the service.
- Work unscheduled overtime or unsocial hours to undertake and complete emergency repairs to ensure continuity of service.
Requirements
- Completed a recognized and registered apprenticeship with post-apprenticeship experience in Plumbing equivalent to SVQ Level 4 Higher National Diploma, Modern Apprenticeship – Level 4, Professional Development Awards (SCQF – 8-9).
- Proven track record demonstrating practical core skills and application within your trade.
- HNC, B/Tech, or City & Guilds Level 3 Advanced Craft qualification or equal and approved.
- Current full UK Driver's Licence for category 'B' class of vehicle.
