About the Role:

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join their Estates Department at Vale of Leven Hospital.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide safe, effective, and efficient estates services to support clinical and administration activities within healthcare and acute hospital facilities.
  • Participate in a multi-disciplinary team providing planned and breakdown maintenance and repair services for all aspects of engineering and building services, plant, and equipment.
  • Work on various sites and properties within the department's remit, requiring flexibility and adaptability.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve departmental goals and objectives.

Requirements:

  • Completed a recognized and registered apprenticeship with post-apprenticeship experience in Electrical Engineering equivalent to SVQ Level 4 Higher National Diploma, Modern Apprenticeship – Level 4, Professional Development Awards (SCQF – 8-9).
  • Proven track record demonstrating practical core skills and application within the trade.
  • Ability to work unscheduled overtime or unsocial hours to undertake and complete emergency repairs.
  • Hold a current full UK Driver's Licence for category 'B' class of vehicle.
