Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde. As a key member of our Estates Department, you will be responsible for providing a safe, effective, and efficient estates service to support clinical and administration activities within our healthcare facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out planned and breakdown maintenance and repair services in relation to all aspects of engineering and building services, plant, and equipment.
- Work on all sites and properties within the remit of the department as routinely required.
- Participate in a multi-disciplinary team providing maintenance and repair services.
- Undertake work of other disciplines for which training will be provided as necessary.
- Hold a recognized and registered apprenticeship with post-apprenticeship experience in Electrical Engineering equivalent to SVQ Level 4 Higher National Diploma, Modern Apprenticeship – Level 4, Professional Development Awards (SCQF – 8-9).
- Have a proven track record demonstrating practical core skills and application within your trade.
- HNC, B/Tech, or City & Guilds Level 3 Advanced Craft qualification or equal and approved.
- Current full UK Driver's Licence for category 'B' class of vehicle.
- Ability to work unscheduled overtime or unsocial hours to undertake and/or complete emergency repairs to ensure continuity of service.
