Job Description

Estates & Facilities Technical Manager

Competitive Salary: £55,000 to £65,000 per annum

Collegiate UK is a leading operator of luxury student accommodation, partnering with institutions to deliver exceptional student experiences in innovative schemes.

The Estates & Facilities Technical Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the long-term sustainability and compliance of our student accommodation portfolio. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing strategic direction for rectifying non-reactive, technical planned project works and aligning planned preventative maintenance (PPM) services.
  • Project managing key capital projects, refurbishments, and repair schemes.
  • Leading defect and project management efforts across our national estate, supporting the delivery and development of strategic plans within the Estates and Facilities division.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar property role, showcasing strong leadership skills and technical knowledge. A recognised qualification relevant to the role, such as an HNC in Mechanical and Electrical Services, or demonstrable qualification by experience, is required. They should possess detailed knowledge of Health and Safety regulations and have experience in developing policies and procedures across a varied portfolio of student accommodation properties.

The successful candidate will possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to provide continuous technical support across the portfolio, including new builds, acquisitions, and refurbishments.

Key Requirements:

  • Strong leadership and technical knowledge.
  • Recognised qualification in Mechanical and Electrical Services or equivalent experience.
  • Detailed knowledge of Health and Safety regulations.
  • Experience in developing policies and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
