The Estates and Facilities Technical Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the long-term sustainability and compliance of our student accommodation portfolio. This position involves providing strategic direction for rectifying non-reactive technical issues, aligning planned preventative maintenance services, and managing key capital projects, refurbishments, and repairs.

The successful candidate will lead defect and project management efforts across our national estate, supporting the delivery and development of strategic plans within the Estates and Facilities division. They will provide continuous technical support across the portfolio, including new builds, acquisitions, and refurbishments, ensuring seamless coordination for reactive and planned works.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar property role, showcasing strong leadership skills and technical knowledge. A recognised qualification relevant to the role, such as an HNC in Mechanical and Electrical Services, or demonstrable qualification by experience, is required. They should possess detailed knowledge of Health and Safety regulations and have experience in developing policies and procedures across a varied portfolio of student accommodation properties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic direction for technical projects and maintenance
  • Manage key capital projects, refurbishments, and repairs
  • Lead defect and project management efforts across the national estate
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for student accommodation properties
  • Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations

Requirements:

  • Experience in a similar property role
  • Strong leadership skills and technical knowledge
