Job Description

The Senior Arboricultural Consultant will play a key role in delivering high-quality arboricultural services to our clients, while supporting the Consultancy Manager in service delivery for all Consultancy / Tree Surveying Operations within the UK.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and deliver consultancy services to clients, meeting contract requirements and adhering to local and national legislation.
  • Take financial responsibility for contracts, overseen by the Consultancy Manager, and ensure projects meet individual objectives and contract-specific objectives.
  • Develop quality, environmental, and safety inspections/audits to ensure AEMG's services are compliant across each client.
  • Provide necessary feedback to stakeholders, including account/function timescales for remedial action to be implemented.
  • Act as the senior consultant for ensuring operational activity accords with AEMG's Policies and procedures, in support of the Consultancy Manager.
  • Undertake contract reviews and meetings with Customers and key stakeholders allocated to the senior consultant.
  • Support the Consultancy Manager across all functions to ensure best practice manuals are kept up to date with relevant information.
  • Attend seminars and build up knowledge on future changes to legislation that will affect operational processes and disseminate knowledge appropriately.
  • Excellent knowledge & use of Microsoft Office Software Systems.
  • Strong understanding of Arboricultural Asset data capture software systems and hardware.
  • Ability to identify and mitigate potential risks to AEMG's services / Customers.
  • Recruitment process awareness including associated legislation covering contract, permanent and temporary labour.
  • Experience of financial control, budgeting and forecasting.
  • Act as the senior consultant in support of the Consultancy Manager for ensuring that operational activity accords with AEMG's Policies & procedures.
  • Business process improvement, examining ways to continually improve current processes around Compliance and Performance.
  • Identifies client issues and requirements as opportunities for Business Development & Growth.
  • Communicates complex information (i.e. legislation, legal requirements) clearly and concisely.
Requirements
  • Support the Consultancy Manager and any teams under the management of the senior consultant on an ongoing basis and work as part of the team to achieve targets and goals.
  • Train and provide team members with information to ensure services are delivered to a consistently high standard.
  • Understand client requirements and ensure that the delivery of consultancy services is not unduly compromised.
  • Examine metrics and performance data to determine suitable KPIs and most effective processes for his/ her contracts.
  • Competent in contract management and service delivery, understanding when to consult with the Consultancy manager and/ or other senior management staff.
Working Environment

The role will be based at our Redditch office and will work closely with our existing Consultancy Manager/Principal Consultant and Arboricultural surveyors.

Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 plus use of company vehicle, 22 days annual leave plus statutory days.
