About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Recovery Officer to join our Stepdown Service team at Rethink Mental Illness. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with mental health needs to achieve their recovery goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Early Identification and Intervention: Identify potential barriers to timely discharge and develop strategies to overcome them, ensuring a smooth transition to aftercare.
  • Collaboration and Liaison: Work closely with housing and local authorities to facilitate discharge and housing assessments, ensuring seamless support for our service users.
  • Recovery Coordination: Coordinate support for allocated patients, including ADL support, escorting to appointments, and arranging recovery activities.
  • Recovery Values and Ambassadorship: Embed recovery values within the Stepdown Service and MDT Team, promoting a culture of recovery and collaboration with external agencies and partner organizations.
Requirements
  • Problem-Solving and Innovation: Demonstrate proficiency in problem-solving and creative thinking to empower service users and drive recovery.
  • Independence and Autonomy: Work effectively independently, prioritizing workload and delivering high-quality services.
  • Communication and Literacy: Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a good level of literacy and numeracy.
  • Knowledge and Awareness: Have a good understanding of local services and be aware of the importance of responding professionally to distress, disturbance, and unpredictability.
