National Account Manager

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced National Account Manager to join our team at MacGregor Black. As a National Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing a range of accounts within the grocery channel who are experiencing new routes to the consumer market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop the UK Market
    • Support the leadership team to develop the UK market, achieving sales growth and expanding our presence in the grocery channel.
  • Manage Customer Accounts
    • Manage a customer account base, including at least one of the Top 4 grocery accounts, with regular contact to build strong relationships and repeated business.
  • Clear Communication
    • Ensure clear internal and external account communication, maintaining a high level of professionalism and integrity.
  • Presentation and Record Management
    • Manage presentations and records for sales, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information is maintained.
  • Annual Account Plans
    • Develop and implement Annual account plans, JBP, aligned to business strategy, to drive sales growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Forecasting and Analysis
    • Proficient in forecasting, analysing customer sales data and market trends to identify opportunities and drive business growth.
  • New Product Launches
    • Manage new product launches for existing and new accounts, including promotion planning and execution.
  • Trade Shows and Customer Visits
    • Attend relevant trade shows, customer visits, and store visits as necessary, to build relationships and drive sales growth.

Requirements

  • Experience
    • At least 3 years' experience in the Consumer branded goods sector within an account management position.
  • Skills
    • Business acumen and commercial awareness.
    • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
    • An impeccable attention to detail and well-organised.
    • Will take accountability for their actions and personal development.
    • A flair for creativity & sales.
    • A positive nature and a proactive approach.
    • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
    • Good level of MS Office, Excellent presentation, and IT skills.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication.
    • Willingness to travel to office twice per month.
