Position Overview

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the execution and management of various initiatives within the School-Aged Immunisation Service, supporting healthcare professionals in educational settings and administrative environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the strategic planning, implementation, and assessment of health promotion and public health immunisation initiatives for school-aged children.
  • Foster collaborative relationships among team members, educational institutions, and families to ensure effective delivery of immunisation services.
  • Oversee the compliance with protocols for the storage and transportation of vaccines, ensuring safe collection and delivery to designated locations.
  • Support the identification of home-schooled children and those enrolled in Pupil Referral Units.
  • Maintain accurate databases to ensure that records are current and that documentation is prepared for school visits.
  • Adhere to the established Standard Operating Procedures for School Immunisation.
  • Serve as the primary contact for all administrative functions related to the immunisation programme.
  • Ensure the integrity of the cold chain, including the ordering and logistics of vaccine transportation.
  • Actively participate in team meetings, contributing positively to discussions and planning.
  • Perform additional duties as required that align with the responsibilities of this role.
  • Comply with all organisational policies and procedures.

Experience Requirements

  • Ability to prioritize and manage workload independently.
  • Strong team player with critical thinking capabilities.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in IT applications.
  • Valid driving license is essential.
  • Outstanding organizational abilities.

Educational Qualifications

  • Minimum GCSE level education or equivalent, with at least a grade C in both English and Mathematics.
