Position Overview

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the implementation and management of various health initiatives as part of the School Immunisation Service, providing essential support to nursing staff in educational settings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the strategic planning, execution, and assessment of health education and public health immunisation programs for school-aged children.
  • Foster collaborative relationships among team members, educational institutions, and families to ensure effective delivery of immunisation services.
  • Ensure compliance with storage and transportation protocols for immunisations, as well as oversee the collection and distribution of vaccines to designated locations.
  • Support the identification of home-schooled children and those enrolled in Pupil Referral Units.
  • Maintain accurate databases to ensure up-to-date records and prepare necessary documentation for school engagements.
  • Adhere to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for School Immunisation.
  • Serve as the primary contact for all administrative functions related to the role.
  • Oversee the maintenance of the cold chain, including the ordering and logistics of vaccine transport.
  • Actively participate in team meetings, contributing constructively to discussions.
  • Perform additional duties that align with the responsibilities of this position.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in IT applications.
  • Valid driving license is required.
  • Strong organizational capabilities.

Educational Requirements

Essential

  • GCSE or equivalent qualifications with a minimum grade of C in both English and Mathematics.
