Building Engineering Project Manager

We are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join Dalkia's team in a key role that involves managing costs related to building engineering projects to ensure cost-efficiency and quality standards are met. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in quantity or building surveying and demonstrate commercial experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the operational team in commercial processes to achieve turnover and profit targets
  • Manage risks to enhance cost predictability and minimize financial exposure
  • Ensure timely completion of projects within budget and quality standards, maximizing project margin through proactive procurement and cost management
  • Drive best value from suppliers and subcontractors, fostering strong relationships and negotiating favorable terms
  • Drive Dalkia's commercial process within the team, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives

Key Qualifications:

  • Educational background in quantity or building surveying, with a strong understanding of industry standard forms of contract such as NEC and JCT
  • Demonstrable commercial experience, with a proven track record of cost management and financial analysis
  • Experience in mechanical & electrical quantity surveying, with a strong understanding of building engineering principles
  • Commercially astute and numerate, with the ability to forecast costs accurately and make informed decisions
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders
  • Sound understanding of Health and Safety regulations, with a commitment to ensuring a safe working environment
