About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Structural Engineer to join our Building Structures team at our Teesside office. As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will play a key role in the efficient and compliant delivery of all structural engineering design on our projects.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Contribute to the development of structural engineering designs and solutions for our clients, working closely with our Principal Structural Engineer and Lead Project Engineer.
  2. Provide day-to-day engineering design support, including client liaison and design responsibility for parts of the structural design works on our projects.
  3. Collaborate with our team to ensure the successful delivery of our projects, adhering to industry standards and best practices.
  4. Develop and maintain strong relationships with our clients, understanding their needs and delivering solutions that meet their expectations.
  5. Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements, applying this knowledge to improve our design processes and deliver high-quality results.
Requirements and Qualifications
  1. Chartered Engineer status or equivalent, with a strong understanding of structural engineering principles and practices.
  2. Experience in large energy transmission and distribution projects, with a proven track record of delivering complex structural engineering designs.
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
  4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to apply technical knowledge to complex engineering problems.
  5. Proficiency in industry-standard software and tools, including computer-aided design (CAD) and building information modeling (BIM) systems.
