The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Analyst to join our Solutions commercial finance team. This is a dynamic finance role that will support the Solutions finance team in various aspects of financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a deep understanding of our Solutions partners, including detailed knowledge of partner contracts, fees, and revenue recognition.
  • Support the Solutions finance team with financial modeling, analysis, and scenario planning.
  • Lead on the reporting, analysis, and insight of Solutions team costs, including budgeting, forecasting, and actual performance reporting.
  • Prepare and ensure effective inputs into periodic reports, including financial statements and management accounts.
  • Calculate monthly fees to invoice our partners and ensure accurate financial data.
  • Build effective working relationships with key Solutions stakeholders, including commercial teams and finance colleagues.
  • Continuously improve processes and activities to enhance consistency and standardization.
  • Support half-year and year-end audit queries and ensure financial controls are effectively performed.
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis and provide insightful commentary on financial data.

Requirements

  • Qualified Accountant with a strong foundation in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Experience in reporting period management accounts, analysis, and providing insightful commentary.
  • Proficient in advanced Google Sheets and Excel functionalities.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and maintain flexibility in response to changing priorities.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen, with a proven track record of driving results.
  • Exceptional drive, resilience, and persistence.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to dive deep into details to identify key performance drivers.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain trusted partnerships.
  • Effective team player with experience working in cross-functional teams.
  • Prior experience in warehouse and logistics operations, and/or online grocery or general merchandise businesses is highly desirable.
