About the Role

We are currently seeking a skilled Finance Analyst with outstanding Business Partnering capabilities to support our Commercial Technology Finance Team. This role involves assisting in the management and strategic planning of software and hardware streams within Ocado Technology, delivering valuable analysis and reporting. The responsibilities are divided into 30% reporting, budgeting, and forecasting, and 70% Business Partnering, investment appraisal, and ad hoc analysis.
You will collaborate with senior stakeholders across various functions, enhancing your professional exposure and career development within Ocado. Reporting directly to the Technology Finance Business Partner, you will be part of a team of six, embedded within a larger Group Finance division, while enjoying the flexibility of a hybrid working model.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct analysis to develop and maintain cost models aligned with operational and business metrics.
  • Own and enhance the forecasting model for cloud-related expenses.
  • Assist Ocado Technology in understanding the fundamental drivers of cloud costs across all service formats.
  • Oversee the planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes, identifying risks and opportunities within your areas of responsibility.
  • Prepare and present management information, insights, and ad hoc analyses to support performance tracking, cost management, and informed decision-making.
  • Review capital expenditure approval requests, ensuring adherence to appropriate processes, and prepare relevant models to guide decisions.
  • Identify and recommend improvements, collaborating across teams to enhance business processes and financial controls for increased efficiency and accurate cost recording.
  • Communicate management information effectively to a diverse range of stakeholders within Ocado Technology and Finance.
  • Ensure compliance with financial standards, processes, and controls within business areas.

About You

  • Qualified CIMA / ACA / ACCA accountant or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in reporting, period management, analysis, and commentary.
  • Strong background in budgeting and forecasting.
  • Demonstrated experience in business partnering within a matrix structure.
  • Advanced Excel skills are essential; familiarity with Oracle is a plus.
  • Collaborative mindset with a genuine passion for value addition and continuous improvement.
