Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our team at The Cross, a Michelin Star restaurant in Kenilworth. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire Front of House (FOH) operation, ensuring exceptional customer service and maintaining the highest standards of quality and consistency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fully accountable for FOH operation when on duty, ensuring seamless service delivery and exceptional customer experience.
  • Develop and nurture a high-performing team, providing guidance, training, and coaching to ensure consistent delivery of high standards.
  • Implement and maintain effective systems and processes to drive efficiency and productivity, while maintaining a focus on quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with the Chef Patron and Restaurant Manager to drive business growth and development, identifying opportunities to improve sales, revenue, and customer engagement.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, food safety standards, and company policies.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and partners to ensure seamless delivery of products and services.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements, applying this knowledge to drive business improvement and innovation.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an Assistant Restaurant Manager or similar role in a high-end, Michelin Star restaurant environment.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team to deliver exceptional results.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, customers, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a strong focus on attention to detail and quality.
  • Knowledge of wine and spirits, with the ability to provide expert advice and recommendations to customers.
  • Ability to work a 4-day week, with flexibility to work additional hours as required.
