Position Overview:

An exciting opportunity has emerged for a Deputy Charge Nurse at Woodland View Hospital.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exhibit a sincere interest in supporting individuals facing mental health challenges in a secure environment.
  • Collaborate with patients and the Multi-Disciplinary Team to take on delegated responsibilities for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care, ensuring the delivery of high-quality clinical practice.
  • Assist the Senior Charge Nurse in managing the nursing team and providing clinical leadership.
  • Maintain a positive attitude towards enhancing the care experience for service users.
  • Engage in training opportunities to expand your knowledge and provide evidence of professional development.

Work Hours:

The position requires a commitment of 37 hours per week, with a flexible approach to shift patterns.

Additional Information:

From April 2024, the working week for NHS Agenda for Change staff in Scotland will be adjusted. Full-time hours will be reduced from 37.5 to 37 hours (pro rata for part-time staff) without a reduction in earnings. NHS Ayrshire and Arran is dedicated to implementing this change, although there may be a transitional period in certain departments to ensure patient safety is not compromised.
