Wigton Group Medical Practice is currently seeking dedicated and enthusiastic GPs, either salaried or with the potential for partnership, to deliver outstanding healthcare services to our dynamic community.

Our practice serves a varied population of approximately 9,000 patients and features a modern, spacious facility that hosts a range of services, including dental, podiatry, and women's health.

About Our Practice

  • A collaborative team dedicated to providing high-quality, patient-focused care while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
  • The team comprises two GP Partners, two salaried GPs, four advanced clinical practitioners, a clinical pharmacist, a mental health practitioner, a first contact physiotherapist, a healthy living link worker, and a well-structured nursing and non-clinical team.

Our Services

  • Recently adopted 'Modern General Practice' model, effectively combining online consultations, telephone, and in-person visits.
  • Equitably distributed non-clinical administrative duties and duty sessions.
  • Support from a prescribing team.
  • Fully integrated electronic communication systems, including Emis Web, ICE lab system, GP2GP, and electronic document workflows.
  • Consistently high performance in Quality and Outcomes Framework (QOF) metrics.
  • All out-of-hours services managed by a dedicated health on-call team.

Opportunities and Values

  • Attractive compensation package, ranging from £10.5k to £11k per session, inclusive of six weeks of annual leave and one week of study leave (pro-rata).

  • Daily team meetings and weekly clinical review sessions with fellow GPs and Nurse Practitioners to discuss challenging cases and referrals.

  • Open to candidates interested in the GP retainer scheme, GP fellowship program, or those eligible for sponsorship.
