About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Haematology Nurse Specialist to join our team at James Paget University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Haematology Team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical expertise and support to patients and healthcare professionals in the Trust and community.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement care pathways for haematology patients.
  • Assist in the education and training of staff, including students and junior members of the team.
  • Contribute to the development of standards and protocols for venous access services.
  • Work in partnership with Ward 17 to develop care pathways for haematology in-patients.
  • Act as a resource for staff and students, providing guidance and support as needed.
Requirements
  • Registered General Nurse (Adult) with a degree-level qualification or equivalent.
  • Post-registration module in Haematology or Chemotherapy.
  • Recent post-registration experience in a Haematology setting at Band 6 or above.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of National Standards and Government initiatives in haematology.
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
