About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Transport Front Line Manager to join our team at Allied Bakeries. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for leading and managing our IBT drivers and transport coordinators to ensure the safe delivery and/or collection of all goods to/from our customers and in accordance with all legal and company requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • To set clear goals, targets and expectations of performance for all Drivers and Transport Coordinators on your shifts to ensure all relevant Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are met.
  • To ensure all drivers receive a daily debrief and the Transport Management Team are updated daily on performance.
  • To ensure all shift members are aware of and comply with environmental, health and safety, legal and company standards and that all shifts operate in compliance with the team.
  • To ensure optimal labour utilisation, by making best use of our Company Scheduling Systems and labour flexibility.
  • To recruit, train and develop Drivers and Coordinators who reflect our company values and who possess the necessary knowledge, skills, attitudes and qualifications to perform effectively.
  • To execute continuous improvement action plans (e.g. Performance Development Plans, productivity improvements etc), to ensure that targets are achieved.
  • To ensure that any service issues arising are addressed promptly and where appropriate, escalated as required.
