About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Transport / Fleet Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of fleet management, with a focus on supporting the transport needs of local authority services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of a diverse fleet, including scheduling, routing, and vehicle allocation to support local authority services
  • Coordinate the transport needs for services such as waste collection, street cleaning, road repairs, and other municipal functions
  • Ensure all fleet vehicles are well-maintained, safe, and compliant with legal standards, including regular servicing and inspections
  • Monitor fleet usage, vehicle performance, and fuel consumption to maximise efficiency
Desirable Requirements
  • Valid TFL Operator License would be an advantage
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Transport Operator in London
  • Knowledge of London / southwest London area, traffic patterns, and landmarks would be beneficial
  • Strong customer service skills and a professional demeanour
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
