This role involves a significant AWS Migration initiative requiring strong expertise in Java Development.

The AWS Data Architect will oversee a pivotal project for a major client in the financial services sector. The ideal candidate should possess a deep enthusiasm for technology and a proven track record in developing and managing advanced technology applications.

Experience Required: 10+ years

Technical Skills:

  • Programming Languages: Proficient in Java (latest versions, e.g., Java 17)
  • Frameworks: Expertise in server-side development using Spring Boot (version 2.5+) and Spring Framework (version 5+)
  • Data Architecture: Comprehensive understanding of data decomposition patterns, with substantial experience in creating entities, Entity-Relationship (ER) diagrams, cardinality, and normalization. Proficient in Physical Data Models (PDMs) and Logical Data Models (LDMs).
  • Data Types: Experience with polymorphic data types and hands-on knowledge of Abstract Data Types (ADTs).
  • AWS Services: Extensive experience with AWS Database Migration Service (DMS) and proficiency with AWS Schema Conversion Tool (SCT). Familiarity with other AWS services such as AWS RDS, AWS Redshift, and AWS Glue.
  • Databases: Proficient in relational databases including MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Oracle. Experience with NoSQL databases like DynamoDB and MongoDB. Familiarity with NewSQL databases such as Cockroach DB or Google Spanner, and any experience with IBM DB2.
  • Data Migration: Skilled in utilizing data migration testing tools and methodologies.
  • Additional Tools: Experience with version control systems (Git), CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and monitoring/logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).

Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and the capacity to thrive in an agile work environment.
