Job Description

As an Assistant Store Manager at Aldi UK, you will play a key role in supporting the Store Manager in achieving sales targets, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Store Manager in managing the store's daily operations, including stock management, inventory control, and visual merchandising.
  • Lead and motivate a diverse team of sales assistants, ensuring they are equipped to deliver exceptional customer service and meet sales targets.
  • Develop and implement strategies to drive sales growth, improve customer satisfaction, and increase operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the Store Manager to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance the store's performance.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and health and safety regulations.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a retail management role, with a strong track record of achieving sales targets and improving customer satisfaction.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify areas for improvement and implement changes.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, to meet the needs of the business.

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary up to £43,440, plus a London allowance of £1,935.
  • Flexible 40 or 45-hour contracts, with the option to work a 40-hour contract over 4 days.
  • 4 weeks annual leave, plus bank holidays, rising to 5 weeks after 2 years.
