Learning Support Assistant

Leader Education is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our team in an alternative provision setting. This role involves working closely with Key Stage 2 students who require additional support due to their Social, Emotional, Mental Health (SEMH) and behavioural needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to pupils with SEMH and behavioural needs, both 1:1 and in group settings.
- Establish a supportive and consistent relationship, promoting a positive learning experience.
- Develop a knowledge and understanding of the academic, emotional, and behavioural needs of the child and respond to these effectively.
- Be flexible and resilient, with good classroom skills.
Requirements:
- Fully enhanced DBS on the update system or a willingness to obtain one.
- Experience working with individuals with more challenging behaviour.
