Learning Support Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our team at Tyne Coast College. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs (SEN) to achieve their full potential.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for providing individualized support to students with SEN, including those with physical, sensory, or learning disabilities. You will work closely with teachers, other support staff, and external agencies to develop and implement personalized learning plans that cater to the unique needs of each student.
Key Responsibilities- Provide one-to-one support to students with SEN, including assistance with daily living tasks, mobility, and communication.
- Assist students with accessing the curriculum, including adapting materials and providing additional support as needed.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized learning plans.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and external agencies to ensure seamless support and progress.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of strategies to promote inclusion and diversity within the college community.
