Job Overview

Position Summary:
We are seeking a knowledgeable professional to offer expert guidance on ecological and biodiversity issues pertinent to our planning services.

Candidate Profile:

  • Comprehensive understanding of planning laws and regulations

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver expert advice on biodiversity to ensure compliance with legal obligations.
  • Provide training and guidance on ecological matters to Planning Officers, Agents, Councillors, and relevant committees.
  • Conduct EIA screenings and provide scoping opinions as necessary.
  • Perform biodiversity assessments integral to the planning process, including HRA evaluations.
  • Stay informed on current legislation, guidance, national standards, and best practices.
  • Foster collaborative relationships with Natural Resources Wales and other ecological organizations.
