Service Manager

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Team Leader to join our team at Two Saints, working with homeless young people. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for leading a team of recovery staff, providing supervision, coaching, and support to ensure the best possible outcomes for our service users.
Main Responsibilities- Team Leadership: Support your team to achieve their potential through regular staff supervision, coaching, and workload management.
- Recruitment and Staffing: Be involved in the recruitment of your team, including relief staff and volunteers, and ensure appropriate shift cover.
- Meetings and Reporting: Attend relevant meetings regarding young people or with stakeholders/commissioners, and collate and produce reports as required.
- Service Delivery: Ensure staff are supporting young people in areas such as substance use, health and wellbeing, life skills, money management, and tenancy management.
- Partnership Working: Work with external partners to maximize opportunities available to young people, enabling them to resettle in the community.
- Safety and Risk Management: Help maintain a welcoming, safe environment, identifying and minimizing potential risks to young people, visitors, and staff.
- Quality Assurance: Carry out quality checks on young people's support records to ensure organizational standards are upheld.
- Health and Safety: Ensure the completion of Health and Safety checks and record information accurately on internal systems.
- Compliance and Governance: Follow organizational policies and procedures, ensuring an effective and timely response to complaints, and working within safeguarding procedures.
- Supervision and Training: Attend supervision, appraisal, training, and meetings as directed, which may be outside of your normal working pattern.
- Flexibility and On-Call: Work flexibly across all areas of operation, as required, and be part of the on-call service for Wokingham Services.
- Passion for Working with Homeless Young People: A real passion for working with homeless young people and a commitment to helping others.
- Communication and IT Skills: Clear verbal and written English, great communication skills, basic IT and keyboard skills.
- Assertive Manner: A polite, assertive manner, with the ability to handle potentially difficult situations.
- Knowledge of Voluntary and Statutory Agencies: Knowledge of voluntary and statutory agencies, with an interest and genuine concern for homelessness and related issues.
