Job Summary:
The Operations & Response Manager will oversee the delivery of environmental services, including contracted pollution response services. This role requires strong leadership and management skills to ensure the health, safety, and wellbeing of staff, as well as contractual service levels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the operational delivery of environmental response services, including equipment stock, vehicles, and staffing.
- Continually review operational practices and planning to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of operations.
- Manage the response contract staff resourcing, including shift patterns, to ensure adequate resources and staff welfare.
- Ensure response staff receive appropriate induction and training to fulfill their roles.
- Lead response to serious water pollution incidents, ensuring effective mobilization of resources and coordination with A&A Group services.
- Responsible for facility management, including fire safety, security systems, hygiene services, and lighting systems.
- Report and ensure compliance with internal KPIs.
- Participate in the Water Quality & Ecology leadership team responsible for governance of the business unit.
- Provide a safe and inclusive work environment for all staff.
- Deliver exceptional customer service, maintaining regular contact with existing clients.
