Candela Academy is a leading educational organization dedicated to providing tailored assistance for secondary school students and their families in the UK. Our offerings encompass Academic Mentorship and Online Tutoring for (I)GCSEs, A-Levels, and Extended Project Qualifications. We are seeking a highly organized, committed, and client-focused Academic Support Coordinator. This role is vital to the daily functions of Candela Academy, ensuring the success of each student.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the academic journey of assigned students by coordinating a team of tutors and mentors while managing the necessary administrative and operational tasks to support them.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for both internal stakeholders (the broader Candela team) and external parties (students and parents), effectively bridging communication between them.
  • Monitor student progress consistently and provide regular updates to the team, along with actionable insights to enhance student support.
  • Anticipate and address potential issues proactively, resolving complaints or escalations promptly.
  • Continuously research and stay informed about developments in the UK education sector, sharing relevant updates with the Candela team.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's Degree (or higher) from a recognized university in the UK or US.
  • Fluency in English with exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking capabilities.
  • Excellent time-management skills with the ability to prioritize effectively.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Customer-centric mindset.
  • Robust research skills.
  • High level of technological proficiency.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently in high-pressure situations.
  • Proficient in mainstream office software, including:
    • Google Workplace (Drive, Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms, etc.)
    • Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in customer service, project management, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with the UK education system and its academic cycles.
  • Experience in the education sector.
  • Strong academic credentials.
  • Proficiency in Mandarin.
