About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior HSE Advisor to join our team at Laing O'Rourke, a leading engineering and construction specialist. As a key member of our HSE team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and safety of our project teams and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide robust HSE advice and guidance to project teams to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and legislation.
  • Support the HSE Manager in ensuring that project teams are following health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Conduct inspections and audits of projects and offices to ensure compliance with the compliance monitoring programme.
  • Investigate incidents and produce comprehensive reports to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Monitor compliance with the BYLOR Safety Management Systems (SMS) and identify corrective actions where required.
Essential Skills and Knowledge
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and regulations.
  • Experience in conducting inspections and audits.
  • Ability to investigate incidents and produce comprehensive reports.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Education and Qualifications
  • IOSH Managing Safely in Construction or SMSTS.
  • NEBOSH Construction or General Certificate.
  • Member of a professional body such as IOSH.
